Macungie Police Department news

Announced May 2016;


Crosswalk enforcement will be conducted throughout the borough. Pennsylvania Law requires motorists to yield to pedestrians in marked crosswalks. Due to complaints about violations in the borough we will be conducting these enforcement details at random times and crosswalk locations.

Our new website launched in May 2016 after not having a site up for a lengthy period of time. We are excited to bring this new site to our web visitors. We also launched a facebook page in May 2016 and we look forward to bringing some helpful safety information to you in the future. 


Our department already uses some tools to get information out to our residents. Crime Watch emails are sent out and most recently we have been using Nixle, a real time alerting program designed to reach subscribers via text and email. This website is another vehicle we can use to advise residents of events, incidents and alerts in the area. Click the Services tab for more information about Nixle.
