July 31, 2010, Crime Watch Block Party
3PM-10PM
This year the block party will be on the grounds of the Macungie Memorial Park, 50 N Poplar St.
The block party is part of the Macungie Crime Watch Program and several crime prevention
related activities are scheduled. We will have a full K9 demonstration, emergency vehicle
displays, crime prevention pamphlets, children's activities, face painting, funny police photo opportunities,
MedEvac landing, flashlight walk, live entertainment and much more.
July 15, 2009, 6:30 PM Vine St Watch Group Flashlight Walk
The Vine St Watch Group will be doing a flashlight walk from 7PM-9PM.
The walk will cover Vine St, Hillcrest Dr. S, Hickory St and Fairview St. The Macungie Ambulance Corps will
be participating in the event with their off road special emergency vehicle. This event is a public event and crime prevention information
will be talked about during the walk. We will assemble at Vine and Hickory Sts around 6:30PM. For more information contact

July 4, 2009, Macungie Memorial Park, 10AM
Old Fashioned 4th of July picnic will be held in the Macungie Memorial Park beginning at 10 AM.
A bicycle parade will start the event followed by a bike rodeo in the pool parking lot. Children can test their
skills on a bicycle while navigating on a road course monitored by Macungie Fire Police.
Prior to starting the road course ALL bicycles will be inspected for safety purposes.
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED BY STATE LAW
Minor repairs to bicycles will be made
on site. In the event it rains the bike rodeo will be cancelled as we do not want children
sliding on a wet parking lot.
June 18, 2009, 6:30PM CPR Certification at Macungie Institute
CPR certification to be held at the Macungie Institute, 510 E Main St for interested
Crime Watch members. Please contact crimewatch@macungiepd.org if you are not registered
to attend the class. REGISTRATION FOR THE CLASS IS REQUIRED.
Limited space is available. A second class will be announced in the future for those members
who are unable to attend.
May 30, 2009, 11AM-3PM Macungie Ambulance Corps Open House
The Macungie Police and other area emergency agencies will be participating in the Macungie Ambulance Corps open house.
K9 Sammy will be attending to do a demonstration of his skills. Check out the Macungie Ambulance Corps website for more info.

Self Defense Seminar, January 24, 2009, 11AM
A self defense training seminar will be held at the Macungie Ambulance Corps building. The course will
outline some basic defensive tactics for all ages.
The ambulance corps is located at 5550 N Walnut St, Macungie
September 24, 2008 S Church St Watch Group Flashlight Walk
The S Church St Watch Group will be doing a flashlight walk from 7PM-9PM.
The walk will cover the following streets; S Church, W Chestnut, Race, Cedar and Locust.
The walk will begin at 159 S Church St and is a public walk event.
