Sergeant Travis Kocher

Sergeant Kocher joined the force in 2001. He previously worked as a police officer in the East Stroudsburg area.

He is the department firearms instructor, Taser X26 instructor and a certified Glock armorer.

Sergeant Kocher holds many other certifications including; police mountain biking (IPMBA), crime scene processing, investigations, academic firearms instructor, interview and interrogations, SFST practitioner, practical kinesiology and POSIT certification from Penn State University.

Sergeant Kocher has received merit service awards in 2003 from Emmaus Police Department and Macungie Police Department and a Pennsylvania State recognition award. In 2006 he received a second merit award from Macungie Police Department for the apprehension of a double homicide suspect wanted out of Merced County, California.

He was promoted to Sergeant in 2006.
